How To Recognize The Ovarian Cyst Rupture Symptoms

The ovarian cyst is a sack that forms on the lining of the ovary on the outside or the inner part of the lining that is filled with a fluid. The problem comes when the woman has no clue that they have any kind of problem because the symptoms are not really understood. If there is an ovarian cyst rupture, this is risky health issue that needs the immediate attention of a physician. Often the recommendation will be of have a surgical procedure to remove the cyst.

The woman's menstrual cycle is altered when an ovarian cyst is present. The cycles may become shorter or longer when the ruptured ovarian cyst is present. The pelvic area becomes painful both prior to the period and afterward. The blood flow of the period changes and can become either heavier or lighter than the usual cycle produces.

Sharp pains can begin in the place of the stomach as one signals pointing to the distressed cyst. Touching the abdomen can make it feel very tender or even painful. The area that is close tot the pelvis or in the lower region of the stomach is the tender area. Also, sensation of being full or a lot of bloating in the abdomen becomes a problem.

Another sign of the cyst that burst is problems with digestion. There is excess gas and either over action or under action of the bowels. The person usually feels very full all the time even if they have not eaten and this causes a loss of the desire for food and weight loss. There is usually vomiting and nausea as signs of problems.

A feeling of being drowsy in the daytime and really fatigued can also accompany a ruptured ovarian cyst. The body will begin to feel weak all over and some lightheartedness can happen for no reason. Sometimes disorientation and dizziness can come up periodically.

When the ovarian cyst ruptures there can also be a feeling of pressure that affects the bladder and the bowels. Frequent urination is the result and the urinary stream becomes weak and it is hard to empty the bladder. - 30428
